“We learn together, play together and pray together.”

Welcome to St. Philip Evans School where children are at the heart of our learning community.

Our close links with the Parish go back to September 1975 when the school opened. The church was not yet built so the school became the centre for parish worship. As the community grew, the school began to thrive and a further extension was built in 1976. A proud moment in our history took place on Saturday 5th October 1985. After the final Parish Mass had been celebrated in the school hall, nearly 400 Parishioners walked in a candlelit procession, following the Blessed Sacrament into the new church. The first Parish Mass was celebrated in St Philip Evans Church on Sunday 6th October 1985.

St Philip Evans is a happy, forward looking school with a history of success. We have high expectations of the children and work hard to nurture the artists, musicians, scientists, sports stars and responsible citizens of the future.

We aim to provide our pupils with a firm foundation of faith, confidence and a love of learning as a basis on which to begin their journey through life.

We hope that it will give you a flavour of the school and the wide range of educational experiences that our children undertake.
Enjoy your visit!

Since his arrival in September 2013, Pastor Gareth has worked regularly in St Philip Evans Primary School, and aims to ensure that each year group celebrates at least one Mass or other service of worship with him each academic year.
